On the heels of a successful completion of the TREQ project partnership this year, GEM and USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) are embarking on a new project called Forecasting and Communicating Earthquake Hazard and Risk or FORCE. The project aims to strengthen the capacities and understanding to manage and respond to future earthquake risk.

METIS or Methods and Tools Innovation for Seismic Risk Assessment is a project that is part of the Safety margins determination for design basis-exceeding external hazards program funded by the European Commission.

Willis, a GEM Advisor Sponsor is leading a consortium to implement the project, “Developing a Disaster Risk Transfer Facility in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Region” funded by ADB.

The goal of the Program in Central America and the Caribbean is to develop capacity in the region for earthquake risk assessment by leveraging GEM tools and resources.
