Manuela is a Senior Seismic Hazard specialist at the GEM Foundation. Manuela completed her PhD in engineering seismology and earthquake engineering at IUSS in Pavia (Italy) in 2010. In the past 18 years, Manuela has worked on several site-specific hazard studies for critical facilities (LNG plants, nuclear power plants, bridges, dams, etc.) worldwide as well as in national seismic risk studies and multi hazard risk projects for portfolios of assets. In addition to GEM, Manuela works part-time for Arup London where she is responsible for seismic and climate-related hazard risk assessments.
