Current Seismic Design Regulation
The current seismic design regulation in Ecuador is NEC-2015, formalized by Ministerial Agreements No. 0028 (August 19, 2014) and No. 0047 (December 15, 2014). The latest updates reported by the MIDUVI (Ministerio de Desarrollo Urbano y Vivienda) include guidelines for Guadua Structures, issued by Ministerial Agreement No. 033-16 on August 26, 2016. The standard is available in Spanish and is freely accessible.
