  • Global Comprehensive Hazard

    This is a global digital map product by GEM. The original Global Seismic Hazard Map (v2018.1) was presented in terms of peak ground acceleration (PGA) with a 10% probability of exceedance (POE) in 50 years on rock. The Global Comprehensive Hazard product is from the updated Global Seismic Hazard Model (v2019.1), and includes 11 additional layers, providing ground motion values for PGA and spectral accelerations (SA) at 0.2 and 1.0 s for 2% and 10% POE in 50 years on rock and soil. PGA for 10% POE in 50 years on rock is provided as the default layer, while options to provide other single layers or the full 12-layer version may be available for particular applications.
