Description
The Global Historical Earthquake Archive (GHEA) provides a complete account of the global situation in historical seismology for large earthquakes, as evaluatd in 2013. From GHEA, the Global Historical Earthquake Catalogue (GHEC) was derived, a world catalogue of earthquakes for the period 1000-1903, with magnitudes of Mw7 and over.

The GEM Global Historical Earthquake Archive (GHEA) was funded by GEM as part of its five Global Hazard Components during GEM's first Working Programme (2009 - 2014). The products are now maintained by INGV, Italy.
You can download the last updated version of the catalogue (Version 1.0, 2013) from the "Data access" button on the right panel of this webpage, which will take you to the INGV website where the data is hosted.
