Pratim is a Product Manager at GEM with a strong technical background in earthquake engineering and catastrophe modeling. He holds a master’s degree in earthquake engineering from University of Pavia - Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori (IUSS), Italy. He has a solid experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry working on key projects involving seismic risk assessment, seismic risk model evaluations and earthquake damage estimation. He has expertise in handling large datasets, statistical analysis, and loss modelling using risk assessment tools. As a Product Manager, Pratim aims to leverage his expertise and research experience to enhance the global earthquake risk models and software platforms. He is focused on delivering user-centric solutions that support decision-making for disaster risk reduction. Pratim's work is driven by a deep understanding of the technical complexities of catastrophe models, as well as a commitment to creating impactful, data-driven products that contribute to building resilience against hazards worldwide.
