About 

Paolo Tormene

Paolo has been a Senior Software Developer at the Global Earthquake Model (GEM) Foundation in Pavia, Italy, since 2013. He is the main developer of the IRMT QGIS plugin: a toolbox for driving the OpenQuake Engine and for data visualization, for modeling social vulnerability and integrated risk indices and for recovery modeling. He is also a co-developer of the OQ-Geoviewer: a platform for the web publication of QGIS projects and for the visualization of geospatial data. He contributes to the development and maintenance of the OpenQuake Engine, in particular with respect to continuous integration, management of inputs/outputs, data extraction and visualization. He earned his MS in Computer Science and Engineering in 2006, and a PhD in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics in 2010, both from the University of Pavia.
