Al Mouayed Bellah Nafeh
Al Mouayed Bellah Nafeh earned his B.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon in 2015. His undergraduate thesis focused on Finite Element Analysis of Structural Steel Elements. In 2017, he graduated from the European Commission's Erasmus Mundus MEEES program, receiving a M.Sc. in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology. This program included courses at Universite Grenoble-Alpes (France) and IUSS Pavia (Italy).
Following his studies, he embarked on a two-year research fellowship at the Universita degli studi di Pavia and IUSS Pavia, funded by the ReLuis, ITERATE, and Infra-NAT consortia. During his doctoral studies, he was a research associate on the ROSSINI project. His current research focuses on quantifying seismic risk and losses, considering the mean annual frequency of collapse and monetary losses. Al Mouayed Bellah Nafeh's research interests encompass performance-based engineering, seismic assessment of existing RC structures, nonlinear modelling and analysis, vulnerability assessment, and risk assessment.
