Jeph has been leading GEM’s communications since November 2016. His role has encompassed a wide range of communication and website management responsibilities. He also leads GEM's communication strategy development, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. His contributions have strengthened GEM's efforts to enhance product dissemination and adoption in the disaster risk reduction sector. He is also GEM's lead writer and editor for newsletters and social media, using strategic approaches to boost readership and followers. With nearly three decades of international experience, Jeph is a seasoned development communication practitioner, working in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, China, continental Southeast Asia, Tanzania, and Italy. His focus spans sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, renewable energy, community forestry, and disaster risk reduction, rooted in climate change resilience. As a skilled trainer, he excels in writing, multimedia production, and journalist networking. His work consistently reflects his commitment to community development, gender equality, and social inclusion. Jeph earned a Bachelor's Degree in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) in 1994, with minors in Social Forestry and Agricultural Economics.
