Australia to use GEM's OpenQuake Engine to develop its 2018 National Seismic Hazard Assessment

In a workshop held recently in Canberra to share knowledge and perspectives on seismic hazard in Australia, Geoscience Australia, a long-term partner of the Global Earthquake Model (GEM) Foundation, stated that Australia's next iteration of the National Seismic Hazard Assessment will use GEM's OpenQuake engine software to develop its 2018 National Seismic Hazard Assessment.
