At the 2010 edition of the GEM Outreach Meeting, Australia and New Zealand officially became part of the GEM partner network. Representatives of both countries took part in the Governing Board meeting of June 5th, where they were formally installed as a Public Participant. GEM's Secretary General signs the agreement, while John Scheider observes. John Schneider from Geoscience Australia will represent Australia in GEM's Governing Board.
