GEM Model Facility Manager
The Swiss Seismological Service (SED) at ETH Zurich (www.seismo.ethz.ch) has been selected to host and operate the GEM Model Facility (GEM-MF). The mandate of the GEM-MF is to enable and support all modeling related to the mission of GEM. They are now searching for an experienced and highly motivated individual to serve as the manager of the GEM-MF. In this position, you will coordinate a team of 6-8 software engineers and scientists and will manage external contributors. You will be a member of the GEM Executive Committee and will play a central role in seeing the ambitious vision of GEM become reality. Graphic Designer
GEM is looking for an all-round designer that is willing to think about creative solutions for the many different needs there are: brochures, logos, posters, banners, images and multimedia for websites, etc. We would expect the candidate to know how to work with the main publishing/(web)designing software, but also PDF and Word. Good communications skills in English, the working language, are required. Furthermore a proactive and result-oriented attitude, and demonstrated inter-personal skills in working with colleagues and supervisors complete the profile.
