IT manager GEM Model Facility
GEM and SED/ETH are looking for an experienced manager to join GEM's Executive Committee to lead a team of engineers, scientists and software developers who are working on the development of a unique open-source system for computation and communication of earthquake hazard, risk and socio-economic impact.
Senior Software Engineer GEM Model Facility
GEM and SED/ETH are looking for a senior software engineer to work in the above mentioned team. Familiarity with high scale computing, strong python skills and experience in open-source development are some of the main requirements.
Media Designer / Web Developer
GEM is looking for an all-round designer that likes to come up with creative solutions for both print design (logos, brochures, reports, ..) and the GEM website. We would expect the candidate to know how to work with the main publishing/(web)designing software, have a good knowledge of XHTML/CSS/PHP and experience with Drupal (or other open source web solutions). Good communications skills in English are required. A proactive and result-oriented attitude and demonstrated inter-personal skills complete the profile.
