GEM is a cooperative, public-private effort, structured as a partnership among a diverse group of companies, countries, institutions, individuals and organisations.
These parties have different roles in GEM and here we would like to mention explicitly:
- Founders; those that have been there from the beginning and have made the GEM initiative possible.
- Associate Participants - international organisations with a global mandate and constituency that share their network and knowledge with GEM.
- Public Participants; countries - and corresponding national institutions - that have adhered to GEM.
- Private Participants - private organisations that support GEM and cooperate in various ways.
- Contributors - a growing number of collaborators that contribute to the building and success of GEM.
