GEM is a cooperative, public-private effort, structured as a partnership among a diverse group of companies, countries, institutions, individuals and organisations.
Partners have different roles in GEM and here we would like to mention explicitly:
- Founders; those that have been there from the beginning and have made the GEM initiative possible. Founders sit as voting members on GEM's Governing Board.
- Public Participants; countries - and corresponding national institutions - that have adhered to GEM. Public Participants sit as voting members on GEM's Governing Board.
- Private Participants - private organisations that sponsor and support the GEM initiative in various ways. Private Participants sit as voting members on GEM's Governing Board.
- Associate Participants - international organisations with a global mandate and constituency that share their network and knowledge with GEM. Associate Participants sit as non-voting members on GEM's Governing Board.
- Contributors - a growing number of collaborators that contribute to the building and success of GEM, both on a global and regional scale. Click here for the list of Global Collaborators, and here for the list of Regional Collaborators.
GEM encourages individuals and organisations with expertise in GEM's disciplines and activities to participate in the effort. More information on how one could participate, can be found in the section Participate in GEM.
