GEM1 mid-project internal review meeting 8-9 September

The GEM1 project started in January 2009 is half-way. An internal mid-project review will be held in Pavia, Italy the 8th and 9th of September. See for more information the GEM1 news page.

South-East Asia GEM meeting 7-8 September

On the 7th and 8th of September a meeting will take place at the Nanyang Technical University (NTU) in Singapore about the design and development of a regional programme in South-East Asia. This programme will feed into the global earthquake model.

GEM at PEER Seminar 6 August

The Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) held a Seminar the 6th of August 2009, at Berkeley, California, and Rui Pinho was invited to present GEM.

GEM at NASA Disaster Risk Management Workshop 4-5 August

Rui Pinho presented GEM at the Disaster Risk Management Workshop, which was held 4 and 5 August, at the NASA Ames research center in California.

GEM at WRN Reinsurers Meeting 20-22 July

GEM will be presented by Rui Pinho at the Willis Research Network Reinsurers Meeting, taking place July 20-22 2009 at the island of Bermuda.

GEM at IDRC 13-15 July

GEM has been invited to join the International Disaster and Risk Conference (IDRC), in Chengdu, China from 13-15 July. Rui Pinho will present GEM to the participants.

GEM at WRN Global Clients Meeting July 8

At the 8th of July a GEM presentation will be given during the Global Clients Meeting of the Willis Research Network in London, UK.

GEM at 100th Anniversary of the Lambesc Earthquake 6-8 July

Domenico Giardini presented GEM at the International Conference on the 100th Anniversary of the Lambesc Earthquake in Aix-en-Provence in France. The Conference was held from 6-8 July 2009.
