New Silver Sponsor; Japanese NLIRO joins GEM

We are delighted to announce that NLIRO, the Non-Life Insurance Rating Organization of Japan, has joined GEM’s public-private partnership; the first private organisation from Japan.

At a ceremony held last week at the headquarters of the GEM Foundation, featuring the participation of Mr Yamaguchi from NLIRO, a Silver Sponsorship agreement was signed by the
two organisations.

Established in 1948 in conformity with the Law Concerning Non-Life Insurance Rating Organizations, NLIRO has been closely engaged in earthquake risk assessment. NLIRO looks forward to building a solid partnership with GEM, agreeing with our fundamental principles. For GEM, having this first Japanese organisation on board is of course extremely valuable, and a fundamental step forward in our quest for knowledge sharing.
