Hazard

The Global Components that have been identified within the scope of the Hazard module of the Global Earthquake Model are:

• Global Historical Catalogue and Database
• Global Instrumental Seismic Catalogue
• Global Active Fault and Seismic Source Database
• Global Geodetic Strain Rate Model
• Global Ground-Motion Prediction Equations (GMPEs)

Requests for Proposals for these components were developed by a group of international experts and then released in May 2009. The deadline for submission of proposals was set on July 15th 2009. Nine proposals were received, of which 5 were selected.
