The ISC-GEM team processed thousands of records which has led to improved, homogeneous estimates of magnitude and location. All main parameters are furnished with estimates of uncertainty. This results in a unique global catalogue that can be used for global hazard assessment and as well as contribute to harmonizing ongoing efforts to compile more detailed regional catalogues.
The catalogue will be integral part of the OpenQuake Platform but has now already been released by the ISC, the International Seismological Centre.
